“This fragment of a Roman sculpture in the collections of the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona caught my eye. It was discovered during excavations at the Cathedral - but it depicts an earlier deity. It’s Jupiter - but with a twist. Emerging from the god’s curly locks is a ram’s horn - a sign that this is also Ammon (Amun-Ra) - the supreme deity in the ancient Egyptian pantheon. It’s a beautiful example of syncretism and cultural fusion, slightly ravaged by the passage of time.”

This original digital painting is available as a fabulous Giclee print on smooth 300gsm 100% cellulose museum grade digital fine art paper. It’s available as a limited edition - signed by Alice - for SEPTEMBER 2025 only and will not be available again. Prints will be shipped after the sale has closed.
